Andrea Liu, Director This interdisciplinary center brings together more than 60 faculty working on soft and living matter from more than 10 departments across the Penn campus, from the School of Arts and Sciences as well as the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

The Internet of Things for Agriculture (IoT4Ag)

Cherie Kagan, Director IoT4Ag works to ensure food, energy, and water security by advancing technology to increase crop production while minimizing the use of energy and water resources and the impact of agricultural practices on the environment.

Institute for Medicine and Engineering (IME)

Peter Davies, Director The mission of the Institute for Medicine and Engineering (IME) is to stimulate fundamental research at the interface between biomedicine and engineering/physical/computational sciences leading to innovative applications in biomedical research and clinical practice.

Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC)

Mark Liberman, Director The Linguistic Data Consortium supports language-related education, research and technology development by creating and sharing linguistic resources, such as data, tools and standards.

Center for Innovation & Precision Dentistry (CiPD)

Hyun (Michel) Koo, Director; Kathleen Stebe, co-Director The CiPD is bridging Penn Dental Medicine and Penn’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with cutting-edge research and training to accelerate the development of new solutions and devices to address unmet needs in oral health, while also recruiting the next generation of leaders in these fields.

Soft Lithography Lab

The Singh Center’s Soft Lithography Lab is fully outfitted for the fabrication of PDMS devices for microfluidics and microcontact printing.
