Vice Provost for Research

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research has oversight of the University’s vast research enterprise, encompassing a broad spectrum of research support services, regulatory bodies, multi-disciplinary campus-wide Centers and Institutes, and partnerships to further develop investigator inventions.

Office of Research Services

Penn’s Office of Research Services (ORS) provides administrative support to faculty and departmental managers for sponsored project activities. ORS is responsible for proposal submission and agreement negotiation for federal sponsors and non-profit sponsors. ORS is also responsible for all post-award activities, regardless of sponsor.

Penn Center for Innovation

The Penn Center for Innovation (PCI) is a consolidation of the University’s efforts in Technology Transfer and other campus organizations devoted to the commercial advancement of University research and development, allowing for a more streamlined experience for Penn researchers and potential business and industry partners.
